Joan is a licensed paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. While working in the Ontario Public Service sector at OPP General Headquarters, Joan gained experience with a variety of provincial statutes, regulations, and legal procedures.

Joan has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University, and later went on to complete a graduate certificate in Paralegal Studies with honours from Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario.  She is committed to providing all of her clients with individual attention.

 Before moving to Canada in 2007, Lei received her Master of Arts from the University of International Business and Economics in China and later became a university professor in Beijing. 

Lei received her Law Clerk Diploma from Canadian Career College in 2023 (where she was awarded the President’s Award!) and joined Henderson Legal Services in January 2024.

Lei is proficient in both English and Mandarin and is a certified community interpreter.

Outside of work, Lei is an active member in the Chinese church in Barrie. She enjoys travelling with her husband,  two lovely daughters, and their adopted dog, Coco.
